How I Work With Your Child:
Bespoke Tailored Lessons: Every lesson is tailored to the individual. Drawing on extensive mainstream and alternative provision experience, I provide expert support for learners with diverse needs, core SATs, 11+ prep, or stimulating challenges for more able pupils.
Building Independence: I ensure every student leaves a session with a clear sense of achievement and actionable targets for the future.
Engaging & Supportive: Using proven strategies and diverse resources, I make learning structured, encouraging, and engaging in a calm, pressure-free environment.

KS2 and SATs
Filling the gaps that have quietly opened up, then getting comfortable with the format so the test itself isn't the scary part.
11+ entrance exams
Preparation for the Cornwall and Devon grammar tests. We work on the maths, but just as much on pace and on not panicking when a question looks unfamiliar.
Year 6 into Year 7
The jump catches out more children than anyone admits. Confident ten year olds arrive in September and hit algebra, negative numbers and a new teacher all at once. This is the easiest problem on the list to fix and the one most often left alone.
GCSE foundation and adult resits
Getting to a grade 4 and out the other side. I teach adults as well, and I've never met one who wasn't quietly convinced they were the worst in the room.
I have daytime slots as well as after school, which suits home-educating families and anyone fitting a resit around work.
How a session works
An hour at a time. In person here or at yours, or online if that's easier for you.
I plan each session around whatever your child is stuck on rather than working through a scheme from the front. If that means spending forty minutes on fractions because fractions are the actual problem, we spend forty minutes on fractions.
